Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How much space do you require?
A. The children's show is often performed in living rooms with no problems. As long as there is enough room for the children and about 1 metre between me and them that should be fine. I have a small unicycle but do not go crazy on it and just ride it hovering on the spot if space is limited.
The circus workshop requires space such as a hall and is not possible in a home due to the amount of equipment in use. It may be possible to do the workshop in a garden but I find it is more manageable indoors due to a whole range of distractions that can occur outdoors. Based on numbers of about 20 about half the size of a badminton court would be required .
Q. Is there a limit on the number of children?
A. I always think that 15 no. is civilised, 20 no. is manageable and 30 no. can be unpredictable! I am happy to perform the children's show to large numbers but will always require a few adults around willing to keep an eye on everyone. If there are large numbers for the circus workshop it is possible to split the children into groups and rotate them round each activity. This method works well with Beavers and Brownies but again requires a few adults around willing to help out.
Q. How much time do you need to set up?
A. For the children's show I am ready as soon as I arrive. No set up time required.
For the circus workshop I need about 15 minutes to get the equipment in and then I am ready to start straight away.
Q. Do you dress up?
A. I do not wear a wig or paint my face as some children can be frightened by this. I do look a bit different however, but nothing too scary.
Q. How much do you charge and do you require a deposit?
A. Prices can start from £70 but vary depending on length of time and distance to be travelled. I cover a wide area but always try and keep prices reasonable and not over the top. Please email for a quick quote or call mobile 07747 778729 stating the location of your event. No deposit required payment may be made on the day.
